Dr. William Schneider
PhD. Genetics from Michigan State University. BSc. Biology from the University of Minnesota/Duluth. He worked for 16 years for the US Department of Agriculture at the Foreign Disease/Weed Science Research Unit. 20 years of experience as a molecular biologist, studying virology, insect transmitted diseases and pathogen evolution. Over the course of his career Dr. Schneider has worked on numerous diagnostic tools for pathogens, including PCR, real-time PCR, deep sequencing and mass spectrometry. Dr Schneider is OBI K19’s advisor in the COVID-19 training aid technology. He also plays a role in the scientific validation of our COVID-19 bio-detection dogs.

PhD. Biological Sciences (Parasite ecology) from the University of Exeter, Exeter, UK. BSc. Biology from Universidad Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM). Staff member in the Aquatic Pathology Laboratory of the Center for Research and Advanced Studies of the National Polytechnic Institute (CINVESTAV in Spanish) in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico. Dr. Vidal is our lead researcher and advisor for the COVID-19 volatile organic compounds (VOCs) characterization study.
